Develop the Whole Player: The Stealth Approach
We’re more than just a club, we’re a team of die-hard field hockey enthusiasts who are dedicated to developing the whole player.
Our holistic approach goes beyond technical skills and focuses on building strong, confident athletes.
Building A Legacy of Empowered Athletes at Stealth Field Hockey
Our vision is to create a lasting legacy of empowered athletes who excel on and off the field. Through our holistic approach—encompassing technical training, sports performance, mental health support, and nutrition education—we aim to shape the next generation of confident, resilient young women.
Our players will not only master the game of field hockey, but will also develop the life skills necessary to thrive in all areas of their lives.
We envision a future where Stealth Field Hockey players are recognized as leaders both nationally and internationally, representing Kentucky with pride and excellence.
By fostering a love for the game and supporting the whole player, we are committed to building a community of athletes who inspire others and make a positive impact on the sport and their communities.
Stealth Field Hockey will set the standard for field hockey clubs, creating a culture where every athlete feels valued, supported, and equipped to reach her fullest potential.
What We Stand For
Stealth players are fierce, resilient, and unstoppable. They thrive on and off the field, balancing elite skills with mental toughness and a passion for the game. With a strong sense of community, they lift each other up and take on every challenge with confidence and grit.
This is what we believe in and cultivate in every player:
- Holistic Player Development
We believe in developing the whole player—mind, body, and spirit. Every athlete at Stealth receives equal focus on technical skills, physical performance, mental health, and nutrition. We shape not just elite athletes, but empowered individuals.
- Inclusivity and Community
Field hockey is for everyone. At Stealth, we don’t recruit or cherry-pick—we nurture. We welcome athletes from all schools and backgrounds, breaking down barriers and dispelling myths. Every player deserves the opportunity to thrive in an environment where their growth fuels the success of the entire team.
- A Rising Tide Lifts All Ships Mentality
We know that when one player grows, we all grow. Our community lifts each other, building strength through collaboration. As we rise together, we become an unstoppable force.
- Excellence Through Accountability
Be part of the change, be part of the solution. We challenge every athlete to take ownership of their journey. Through commitment and discipline, we create a culture of excellence, both individually and collectively.
- Bold Ambition: Putting Kentucky on the Map
Stealth is not just a club—we are a movement. Our vision is to put Kentucky on the national stage, representing our state with pride, and showing that we compete with the best. We’re here to dominate, and we’re here to stay.
- No Player Is Bigger Than the Club, No Club Is Bigger Than the Player
We believe in balance. At Stealth, the club is a circle where each player contributes to the whole, and the club, in turn, invests in each athlete. It’s not about hierarchy, it’s about unity and shared success.
- Resilience and Mental Toughness
We know that strong athletes are built from the inside out. Stealth is committed to cultivating mental resilience, helping our players overcome challenges with confidence, grit, and perseverance.
- Empowerment Through Leadership
Stealth athletes are more than just players—they are leaders. We empower our athletes to lead with integrity, both on the field and in life. We prepare them not only to win but to inspire.
- Passion for the Game
At the heart of Stealth is a deep love for field hockey. We live and breathe this sport, and we instill that passion in every player. We show up to ignite their competitive fire and fuel their lifelong love for the game.
Meet our Technical Director
We are thrilled to announce the addition of our new Technical Director, Malachi Mahan. Coach Mal brings over 10 years of coaching experience at the University of Louisville and the University of California, where he developed multiple All-Conference and NFHCA All-Americans, as well as players for the U.S. National Team. He also served as an assistant coach for the U16 U.S. Men’s National Team and played for 10 years on the U.S. Men’s National Team.
Coach Mal’s appointment marks a transformative step for STEALTH. He will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive training curriculum, guide our coaching staff, and enhance our player development programs, including camps, clinics, and both indoor and outdoor seasons. His vision aligns perfectly with our mission to build the premier field hockey club not only in Kentucky but also on the regional and national stage.
We are confident that Coach Mal’s expertise, vast coaching experience, and dedication to player growth will be an immediate asset to our players, and his impact will be felt for years to come. We look forward to this exciting new chapter for STEALTH and can’t wait for our athletes to benefit from his leadership.
